Photos: Ladybird and spider

I never got as far as the canal so the bushes in the neighbourhood were once again my hunting ground. Ladybirds seem to be in season at the moment and this fellow caught my eye due to his red spots on a black shell, the reverse of what we usually expect. I wonder if this means anything?

These next two shots were of small spider who stayed still just long enough for me to take his photo, and as he turned around I took a photo from the other end.

More tomorrow? If the sun still shines then definitely, and maybe I can achieve my yearly goal of getting a good photo of a bee or hoverfly. Not that this one from March was too shabby.
